We're beginning a new round of Argentine Tango
in Rhinebeck on Monday nights! Join us at the Rhinebeck Body
Bar in Astor Square on Rt 9, for TANGO BEGINNER CLASSES 1 & 2,
7:30p-8:30p - BEGINNING
ARGENTINE TANGO 1 & 2: ... we
continue refining the essentials of Argentine Tango social
dancing as danced in the milongas (dance clubs) of Buenos Aires,
birthplace of tango. As opposed to stage tango which features
very fast, extremely precise, often acrobatic moves, Argentine
Tango social dancing is about the embrace and connection between
two people walking together in time to the music. Concepts
include embrace, connection, change of weight, walking together
in rhythm, musicality, walk to the cross, ochos, with commentary & information
on the history of tango, tango codes and regional resources.
Instructor- Ilene Marder plus invited quests.
ALSO EXCELLENT FOR EXPERIENCED DANCERS TO REFINE TECHNIQUE
OR LEARN THE OPPOSITE ROLES.
8:30p-9:00p- GUIDED PRACTICA:
A
half-hour practice session to get the moves into your body.

8p-9:30p- ALL LEVELS GUIDED
PRACTICA! For the next two weeks
we will dance, dance dance, with help and guidance while racking
up miles on the dance floor. These sessions are a must for
anyone serious about continuing tango! $ 10 if coming to practica
only.
